Last Thursday, we had a presentation on the importance of
self-care. It can be difficult to juggle all the daily tasks involved when
caring for children, especially treatment-level foster children since they may
also have therapy and other appointments.
No matter how busy life gets and how
much we care for our children, we must always be sure to take time for
ourselves. It is not selfish to want to recharge every now and then. This will
ensure that we are being the very best that we can be for ourselves as well as
our children. Remember, you are at your best when you are feeling your best!
